Red Bourbon Cemcavir

This stuning Washed Red Bourbon comes to us from CEMCAVIR, a women-led ecological cooperative from the Villa Rica region in Peru. The women of this region founded it with the hope of receiving fair prices for their coffee production, thereby improving the quality of life for each member and their families. The women of the cooperative drive the development of the family economy, dedicating their entire lives to producing high-quality coffee for people who value socially and environmentally responsible production.

Coffee from CEMCAVIR members is grown in the Oxapampa nature reserve at altitudes between 1,600 and 1,900 meters, under the shade of tropical trees, with a microclimate that makes this coffee truly unique in the world.

For these courageous women, who rise each day with enthusiasm and who, after much effort, have made a lasting mark in the world of coffee, doing things the right way means producing coffee that respects both the environment and society. This results in quality coffee — but most importantly, quality made from the heart.

The light roast of this Red Bourbon variety highlights flavors of red fruit, almond, vanilla, and caramel. The body is clean and elegant, with a bright, fruity, and well-rounded acidity. It's ideal for all filter methods, but also makes for a bright, refreshing cup of espresso.
